Community Resilience Model Workshop

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® trains community members to not only help themselves but to help others in their communities. Developed by Elaine Miller-Karas, Co-Founder and Director of Innovation of the Trauma Resource Institute and author of the book, Building Resiliency to Trauma, the Trauma and Community Resiliency Models (2015). The Trauma Resource Institute (TRI) is a nonprofit organization devoted to cultivating trauma-informed and resiliency-focused individuals and communities throughout the world. This workshop will be hosted by Yvette Beltran, Un Mar Program Director and Certified Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® Teacher.

CRM’s goal is to help to create trauma-informed and resiliency-focused communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using this skills-based approach. You will learn how to identify resiliency zones, track your nervous system, and how to use natural spaces to regulate your nervous system.

Our goal is to train our surf instructors, mentors, and volunteers with the adequate tools to support themselves and our students in the water.

Thursday March 21st 5-8pm Union Co-Work 111 C St, Encinitas, CA 92024.

Sliding scale donation towards our Youth Programs is suggested $20-30.  Donation can be made up in person or online at with subject line: CRM Workshop https://www.mightycause.com/organization/Un-Mar-De-Colores
